Why We Are Going Digital!!
So, this year, we are going to make a concerted effort to use less paper in this class. As our theme is Exploration and Invention, we are going to explore how we can create more using less. This particular video is a short explanation of the repercussions of using paper, and how the United States in particular uses more paper than the rest of the world. We have the ability to be more conscious of what we do and how we do it, so lets do it!
As you watch this film, there are a couple of questions I would like you to think about.
1. How much paper does the average 5 person family consume?
2. What are the effects of that consumption on: our rainforests? greenhouse gases?
3. What are some simple solutions that we could all do to help reduce the amount of paper consumption in this country?
Now, about the filmmaking...
1. Are there any specific documentary film strategies you noticed? These would be strategies that you have noticed in other documentary films.
